BLOOD- A Review

I'm back! If you follow me on Twitter then you know that I've been on a little break. Today I'll be reviewing the latest from alternative singer, Lianne La Havas. Blood is her second studio album and in short, I love it!

A quick background for those who haven't heard of her. Lianne Charlotte Barnes is a London- born folk and soul singer- songwriter. Her debut album, Is Your Love Big Enough? was nominated for BBC's Sound of 2012 poll and awards for the iTunes Album of The Year 2012.

My favourite track is Midnight and it is seriously beautiful. Lianne has such a soulful voice that is so relaxing and beautiful and literally gave me goosebumps when I first heard it. "Electricity lingers, in our fingers". The whole album is of amazing quality and has varying tempos and themes that would appeal to everyone like a pop album but with more depth.

Her previous album, Is Your Love Big Enough? leant towards the more folk side of alternative music which she still incorporates in Blood but there is definitely more variety in Blood.

Even if you don't think this is your genre of music I would give her album a preview here on iTunes.
