Happy One Year Bloggerversary

So I've been blogging for a year! It has gone so quickly and has undergone many changes, and some are still to come. Thank you to communities like Zaineb of Blogging Gals for supporting my blog from the beginning and to everyone who has read, commented and shared my blog. I thought I would summarise the top 5 things I've learnt.

1. It's WAY harder than it looks
The planning, the writing, the photos, the promotion, the coding. The list could go on. All I say is make sure that this is something you really want to do. The camera, lighting, blog theme, software etc. in order to get a certain level of quality (which I'm still working on) can be very expensive. It takes investment and it can take a long time to get a return on that investment.

2. It's okay to feel uninspired
Not too long ago, I felt completely uninspired and I had no idea what to write and that's okay.

3. It can be very competitive
The blogging world is very saturated, full of amazing bloggers creating wonderful content, but it can become a competition for followers, sponsors and recognition.

4. It's also one of the most supportive communities I've been a part of
Finding blogger friends that you see at events or who comment on posts or even just interact with on Twitter (follow me here) makes you feel like you belong in a group of lovely people who share a lot of your interests.

5. It hasn't helped my beauty addiction
In fact, I have bought more makeup this year than ever. It becomes an excuse to write a blog post,

Thank you all for reading and I wanted to be completely honest. Can any other bloggers relate? Let me know in the comments

*sidenote* It's exactly one month till Christmas! Do you have any plans? Let me know in the comments below.
